WOODS CROSS — Police have arrested two people accused of stealing mail from more than a dozen homes here.

Officers were called to Sereno Drive early Saturday morning on a report of a car driving down the street and looking in mailboxes. Police found the car at a nearby gas station.

"They had mail in their vehicle and (officers) were able to tie it back to 16 residences in the area," said Woods Cross Police Chief Paul Howard.

A 36-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman were both booked into the Davis County Jail on investigation of 16 counts of mail theft and drug possession.
