Charges filed in S.L. slaying
The Salt Lake District Attorney's Office on Monday announced first-degree felony murder charges against Richard Sean Craft II in the Aug. 16 shooting of Ryan Agar, 24. Agar died three days later. A probable cause affidavit filed by police accuses Craft of shooting Agar three times at a home near 500 S. Elwood Place, but no motive for the slaying is given.
The district attorney's office office also filed a third-degree felony aggravated assault charge in the case.
"When (the victim's brother) ran towards his brother, Richard Sean Craft pointed the gun at (the man)," Salt Lake City Police detective Brian Wahlin wrote in the affidavit.
If convicted, Craft faces a 15-year-to-life sentence.
