Man sentenced in sex abuse cases

FARMINGTON — A Clinton man accused of sexually abusing two teenage girls has been sentenced to serve a pair of 3-years-to-life sentences in prison.

Richard Ray Marcroft, 44, was sentenced in 2nd District Court on Monday on charges of attempted forcible sodomy, a first-degree felony; and a second-degree felony forcible sex abuse. In criminal charges filed against him in January, Marcroft was accused of showing his victims pornography and performing sex acts on them.
