Teacher invests prize money into music
She bought keyboards and plans to make learning music part of her curriculum at Layton Elementary School.
Marie Stevenson says music can enhance many aspects of students' lives. So she bought a set of piano keyboards that her fourth-graders will spend time learning how to play.
Stevenson says she loves teaching children because they are so eager and don't doubt their ability to learn how to play.
Stevenson got $10,000 to spend on her school as the Utah Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year.
