'Rob a Bank' among new DVDs

The following DVDs will be released Tuesday:

• "How to Rob a Bank" (Genius, $19.95) — Nick Stahl and Erika Christensen star in this comic caper thriller about slackers who try to pull off a complicated heist. — Not rated, probable R (violence, profanity)

• "Lagerfeld Confidential" (Koch, $29.98) — Rodolphe Marconi's 2007 documentary profiles fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld and includes cameos by Nicole Kidman and others. — Not rated, probable PG (adult themes)

• "Married Life" (Sony, $28.96) — *** — Despite some sexual material, this darkly comic dramatic thriller is smart, old-fashioned entertainment. Pierce Brosnan stars. — PG-13 (vulgarity, brief sex, drugs, mild profanity) —Jeff Vice, Deseret News

• "The Promotion" (Genius/Weinstein, $19.98) — ** 1/2 — While it has a few chuckles, this workplace rivalry comedy starring Seann William Scott and John C. Reilly isn't as sharply honed as it probably should be. — R (profanity, vulgarity, brief drugs, violence, slurs, brief sex) —Jeff Vice, Deseret News
