Man stabbed during DVD retrieval
About 6:15 p.m., the woman brought a friend to help her pick up some items from her ex-boyfriend's house, near 100 West and 1400 South, said Salt Lake Police Lt. James Tracy.
During the exchange, the ex-boyfriend, 22, and the other man, 27, began fighting, police said.
"The homeowner stated the male friend was on top of him, pummeling him," Tracy said. "So he stabbed the male a few times with a knife."
The man then attacked the ex-boyfriend with a golf club, before driving himself to the hospital, police said.
The man's injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. Detectives were still interviewing witnesses and no arrests were made Thursday.
