I am so excited to not see this movie! Even as a film critic who gets into the press screenings for free, I passed on this one. That's two hours I could spend staring at a blank wall and likely being more edyfied and entertained. Since Brosnan is the only thing this film has going for it, if his singing is bad, why bother?

Clearly you're not an ABBA fan (as that is the main reason for seeing the play or the movie version). Most people see it for the music. But Brosnan being the only thing the movie has going for it?? What about Meryl Streep? Or are you not a fan of hers too?
I wound up seeing this instead of "The Dark Knight" saturday (due to the IMAX showing being sold out). I was greatly impressed by Meryl Streep's singing abilities... she's especially awesome when doing the song "The Winner Takes it All".

My wife wanted to go, so off I went. Meryl Streep can sing. Pierce Brosnan cannot. Neither can I.
I found myself tapping my foot at times; other times I was bored. Anyway, it made my wife happy.
And if Mama's happy, everybody's happy.
