Yeah and when interviewed cops will say that tv cops are JUST like the real ones. People will say whatever a HW hot-shot wants them to say. The problem isn't that the judge is outrageous or mercurial. It's that she's cliched, obvious and not real. How did they defend the accusation that the casting and writing is bland? Probably too bland for some fair back in the 80s. Just curious.

the show was written by a 18 year public defender in New York. Since the show is based on him and his personal experiences. I think we should remember that and take it into account. I don't believe anyone reading this has experience with Public defenders. Let's just leave it at that

The last show that portrayed some judges in a dignified manner was The Practice. Linda Hunt portrayed a very believable realistic judge in the show, Judge Zoe Hiller. Of course that same show also featured Holland Taylor as a nymphomaniac judge.

America is becoming more lazy every day. When people actually DO get me to watch a few minutes of American idol I think one thing EVERY time. It's idiotic!! Simon can be too rude too often but I've seen him give the most accurate, constructive, and even friendly criticism and the audience keeps booing him. This is stupidity. I'm very patriotic about our history but our future worries me because the intelligence level of the people has almost depleted entirely.

So people who don't use their brain want shows that follow the same trend. Therefore more stupidity enters the T.V./film industry every day and plots get thinner and duller. Norbit!? The smart that are left on the planet are getting smarter and fewer as a percentage and the dumb are growing in number. There is plenty of good on this planet but people who need to watch Law and Order every night WHERE THE SAME THING happens as in a different series which was a stolen idea from a 1980's show which was a stolen idea from a perry mason which was a stolen idea from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Intelligence is lost. What's worse is that some ACCEPT it!
