    "Trumps low rating is directly attributable to extreme Left Wing media bias..."

    My original thought was the field of engineering requires one to see the bigger picture rather offer excuses. I.E. "Left Wing media bias". You possessed the identical mantra in your retort during the Obama presidency. Correct? Your supreme leader continues to absolutely bury himself, while embarrassing our nation nearly every hour with his tweets, words, actions and most important by not accepting any responsibility whatsoever as President! Thank you comrade.

    "Trump’s base seems to be eroding. There’s been a considerable decline in the number of Americans who strongly approve of Trump, from a peak of around 30 percent in February to just 21 or 22 percent of the electorate now. (The decline in Trump’s strong approval ratings is larger than the overall decline in his approval ratings, in fact.) Far from having unconditional love from his base, Trump has already lost almost a third of his strong support. And voters who strongly disapprove of Trump outnumber those who strongly approve of him by about a 2-to-1 ratio". {538/Wash Post/N.Y. Times/CNN/NBC/Etc!}

    Re: "Factual information indicates Trump approval ratings are 31%-36% and declining hourly! "

    The RealClearPolitics polling average has Trump at 40.3% approval (average of 8 recent polls ranging from 38-43% support) to 55.0% disapproval. His low point as President was 38.6% about a month ago.

    Thanks for confirming comrade! You may desire to check your sources cited. How about the countless other polls? As my previous post stated. Polls are currently considered grossly distorted. The identical polls the extremist, enabling faction continually barked daily about throughout Obama's presidency. This enabling faction would give anything to have the polling numbers President Obama had throughout his presidency. Especially the onset. Furthermore.

    "Just six months into his young presidency, Trump's approval rating slipped to a new low of 36% over the weekend, the lowest at this point in a tenure in seven decades of this poll's history". {CNN/ABC/NBC}

    "More than half of US presidents in the modern era never reached an approval rating as low as President Donald Trump just hit". {ABC News/Washington Post poll and polling data by Gallup}

    Trumps low rating is directly attributable to extreme Left Wing media bias.

    Instead of Trump being allowed to establish his policies within the traditional 100-day "honeymoon". He has been subjected by an unrelenting 100-day-HATE by Leftists unhappy with the outcome of the 2016 election.

    This multi-media 100-day-HATE far exceeds the institutionalized 2-minute-daily-hate in 1984.

    Wilson's voting record FOR UTA, while on the County Commission, shows she will behave in a similar shallow and prejudicial manner in the Senate.

    She has been a bogus representative for large areas of the valley, in her "at large" Commission seat.

    She has repeatedly voted more money for UTA, without ever having taken a bus trip in much of her area of responsibility. If she had, she would know that most of the County no longer has any bus service within walking distance, let alone the expanded...doubled bus service...that UTA repeatedly promised when they jumped on the light rail train.

    If she had read those damning audits of UTA , done so expertly by the Utah Legislature's auditors in 2008 and 2012, she would know that UTA is still not trustworthy. For more than a decade UTA has had the worst data and misrepresented and acted on that bad data . Although Jenni still trusts UTA implicitly, County voters axed the last tax hike for UTA, despite the support of SLC power groups... including Jenni Wilson... AND spending $650,000 versus $-0- by opponents .

    As someone from a purplish state (actually whatever shade of purple that is close to red), I can speak with a bit of authority on party unity and elected officials. Montana recently elected a Congressman who physically assaulted and admitted guilt just before the election.

    In Montana and most certainly in Utah, almost any candidate with an "(R)" after his/her name is going to be elected. Democrats win if the candidate is moderate to conservative with deep roots in the state.

    Now, in Utah very few Democrats win much of anything (SLC not withstanding), no matter how conservative that candidate might be nor how deep the roots in the state. The LDS version of a Mother Teresa would have a hard time winning office if she ran as a Democrat.

    So I wish this nice lady good luck, but clearly Senator Hatch wants to continue his long, long service in the Senate. And on the day Senator Hatch no longer serves the good state of Utah, I doubt a Democrat would replace him. Utah does not elect them. You pick a reason.

    Well, ladies and gentlemen, the plot thickens.

    A Hatch opponent is now visible and Republican strategists need to determine what to do to retain control of a Senate seat in Utah. (I am a person of short memory, but didn't the U.S. elect a POTUS -- current approval rating of 36% -- because his opponent was way worse than he?)

    I will be surprised if Wilson/Hatch face each other, since the age factor is too prominent. Most people in the middle of their ninth decade slow down and the Republicans cannot take that chance. So, what can they do? Identify a viable candidate, someone (like Romney) who is acceptable to Hatch which would allow him to save face and declare that an unforeseeable circumstance has made him decide not to run.

    Don't worry about lack of experience of any candidate -- when Hatch beat Moss, Hatch had zero experience.

    The issue remains: an election will definitely occur but does the Republican hierarchy dare take a chance on supporting someone who might lose?

    I think not, but what do I know -- I just hope to be around to watch the spectacle.

    Stay tuned folks, it will get more interesting !!!

    The losing candidates for the last DNC leader election also took that same position: you cannot be a Democrat if you don't celebrate abortion.

I believe that Orrin Hatch has done a good job but it may be time for him to step aside and let another Republican run for office. When the time comes I will look at each candidates position on the issues and vote accordingly. I hope other voters will do the same. I believe the answer is in doing what is best for the people of this country. Sometimes that requires tough love and sometimes it requires a gentle hand. If we want a better country we need to become informed voters and elect those capable of making the changes we want whether they be republican, democrat or a third party. I do hope Jenny Wilson adopts Bob Bohey's electoral strategy of name calling everyone who disagrees with her.

    Everything I said about today's Democrat party is the truth: they actively support the Islamification of America, they actively promote abortion as a moral good; they fully support things like the Army's mandatory "sharing of showers" with so-called "Transgendered" people; they promote the LGBT agenda and cheer when governments destroy people on the mere suggestion of disagreement with the LGBT agenda (see East Lansing).

    Democrats support vote fraud and they support illegal aliens over American citizens (illegal aliens are now getting to commit violent crime with the full blessing of Democrat politicians, who refuse to charge them in fear of having them deported).

    Jenny Wilson should answer whether she supports letting people go because they are illegals; whether she supports putting males in female showers; whether she supports taxing the middle class to give unlimited welfare to illegals or others who don't work at all. All of these are Democrat party policies. Surely she favors them? Right?

    Jenny Wilson will have a tall task to persuade Utah that her platform of "I stand with Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi in wanting to gut America and turn it into Saudi Arabia" should get votes.

    Oh, sure, she won't say that is her platform. But that's her party's platform, and she's running as its representative. Even if she can navigate past the "Turn America Muslim" stand of the Democrat party; she'll have to campaign on the "You aren't a Democrat if you don't abort" of the current DNC chair Tom Perez. And further, the Democrat policy of "Punish every Christian you can for wrong thought about LGBT!" Or the "If you don't support guys ogling your girls in the shower, you are bigoted!"

    I'm sure that platform will help Jenny Wilson. Why is she a member of a party that wants to destroy the privacy rights of women in their showers and bathrooms? Why does she support destroying businesses who answer questions "wrong" about LGBT rights?
    And if she disagrees with any of that, then she'll be completely ineffective as a Democrat; who won't tolerate heresy. So why run?

Hatch's concerned facial expressions and sad sighs over the behavior of Mr. Trump. Let no one forget how those concerned sad sighs were followed by excuse after excuse and a failure to show any strength or character when our young people could have used it the most. We need strong people now. Mr. Hatch is led by what is convenient rather than what is right.

    @No Names.
    Your comment is indicative of the majority of Utah voters. This majority perceives (rightly or wrongly) that the national Democratic Party has shifted so far left that they would rather have Orrin Hatch for another 4 years, or a "rubber-stamp" Republican senator over any Democratic Party candidate. This is the legacy bequeathed to Utah Democrats by Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

    A challenger with a real chance of winning will come from within the Republican Party or (probably still a long-shot) from the United Utah Party.

    If Ms. Wilson's main goal is to actually be elected senator from the State of Utah, she should give up now. That is simply political reality in Utah in 2017.

    I will vote for almost any breathing, non-indicted Republican over Orrin Hatch.

    But I can do nothing to increase the power of the Democrats in DC. Our biggest problems right now are too many RINO Senators acting like Democrats. Get government out of my doctor's office. Let's try the free market. Let's get serious about border security and interior enforcement. Let's get back to the Clinton-era welfare reforms that required the able-bodied to work.

    Sorry Ms. Wilson. But we just can't afford any more liberals in DC.
